At the end of the academic year, the university removes all abandoned cycles from campus to make space for the new year. If your bike is likely to be on campus on that date, you need to put a little tag on it so that it is not removed in error. Ive always thought "what if someone removes the tag !" so I kept checking over the week end that mine was still there.
However this year, they did things better because the tags you could collect from campus were plastic rings like the ones you get on your bags at the entrance of Auchan on your bags to keep them close.
So everybody had one on their bike, except me, who put a big paper with "PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE" on it ^ ^

I have had so much troubles with bikes since I am here that I'll be happy if I can go through next year without having to get a new one or even a new lock
