Ma's Things

Mon bon sapin, roi des forêts has made its way into into my flat!
I went to B&Q early this morning to get it, I know it's early but I won't be here for Christmas so I need to my Christmas fix earlier on. And after all, it's the 24th today so that's ONE month before Christmas, perfect timting.
It's a fat Christmas tree, I love it. I spent ages finding the right one, even though I spotted that one straight away. It was a struggle to bring it home because it wasn't in a net, yes I could have gone for one in a net but the problem is you don't know how it's gonna look like and you may end up with a weird shaped one, so I took that one and carried it with outstretched arms. The shop is not that far so that was ok but then I had troubles put it through the door cos it was so large and then climbing the narrow stairs. But eventually, we made it, and after a short stay on the balcony, I found the perfect place.

It's now ready to fulfill its Christmas destiny,

First the Christmas tree lights,

then the tinsels and the christmas balls (you don't play with baubles !!), the star on top and the final touch, artificial snow, living the sweet smell of snow-in-a can in the whole living room, tadaaaam

Awww Christmas... surely that's the best time of the year
The decorations are already up in town and with Halloween gone, the Christmas stuff has long been there in shops, from decorations for the christmas tree to advent calendars for cats, yes I did say for CATS .. Another thing, English people don't seem to know how to make proper boules à neige, it needs to look like snow, not sparkly things!

Harry Potter fans beware! the eighth book is on its way! Its called James Potter and the Hall of Elder's Crossing and has its official website! (don't skip the intro it is brilliantly done). Jk Rowling denied the rumour but its nice to believe, so watch out in 14 days, I will, just in case ;)

Freaky

I think it's time, time to take out the good stuff, it's time to sacrifice a bottle of lemon coke ...

I want happy thoughts, I want snow, I want Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, Christmas songs, go Christmas shopping, I want minty hot chocolates and cinnamon candles, but what I need is work to stop.
I don't have my usual cheer up thing so instead, I'll take out the lemon coke and sit and watch Deck the Halls tonight with Thing on my lap for some good scratching time.

Yeahhh Sainsbury now has des petits pois D'aucy in store! spelt wrong unless there is only one petit pois in there ^ ^ but whatever
